Who we are - HistoryPROCOL was formed in 1995 by Roy Bertuello and Nick Denning, who worked together for ten years at the market leading ‘office interiors’ experts, Herman Miller. Both highly skilled engineers, they combined their practical knowledge of building systems and construction, with the cutting edge style of modern, contemporary office designs, to create a company capable of delivering top quality interiors projects.
Their unique style of pragmatic problem solving and clear communication, quickly established Procol as a ‘can-do’ company, happy to take on the demanding and challenging projects, avoided by run-of-the-mill ‘furniture based’ interiors companies. They established themselves in the turbulent ‘90s as suppliers to the Telecoms and Cable TV industries who were coping with logarithmic growth and massive change. They quickly became the preferred suppliers to many Blue Chip clients and broadened their portfolio to include all aspects of the modern office environment, including data rooms, commercial kitchens, state of the art multi-media suites, and even external works to car parks, security and perimeters.
Procol were pioneers in gaining accreditation to new quality and environmental standards and have lead the way in managing safe and efficient sites, resulting in higher quality, less waste, and lower costs as a result. Their client base grew to include industrial and retail giants, government departments and commercial businesses across the UK and America.
Having enjoyed great success and growth, and firmly established in their own classic Palladian style building in Wiltshire (cleverly converted into beautiful air-conditioned offices and showrooms) they were awarded the coveted title of Wiltshire’s Business of the Year, in the same year they celebrated their tenth anniversary in business. They continue to expand the company and have attracted the best industry professionals to join the company, recently opening a new office in Somerset, specifically to accommodate the increasing technical demands of client’s projects including data rooms, ‘emergency and disaster recovery’ and specialist environments.
